You can also swap blueberries for your favorite berry for these bite-sized desserts.
What You’ll Need:
Frozen pie crust, defrosted
2 1/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons milk
1 container of blueberries
1 cup of granulated sugar
Splash of vanilla extract
What to Do:
Preheat the oven to 350°.
For the glaze, mix confectioners’ sugar, light corn syrup, and milk. Mix all of the ingredients together and stir until smooth.
For the blueberry jam, wash one container of blueberries. Add blueberries to a saucepan with granulated sugar and vanilla.
Crush berries and bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Continue stirring until the mixture is thick. Let is cool down and store in a mason jar.
Remove the defrosted pie crusts from the tin and carefully place on the counter. Use a rolling pin to gently flatten them out. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut 10 hearts out of the pie crust.
Add a spoonful of blueberry jam to the middle of each heart and add one jumbo blueberry in the center.
Place another heart over top of the blueberry and gently press down with your fingers. Use a fork to seal everything in.
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and add glaze.
