Beer and cheese are some of our favorite foods, so imagine our delight when we learned that combining the two makes some of the best dip ever. Pair your favorite Irish dry stout with a few different types of cheeses for an easy appetizer, game day dip, or just a perfectly cheesy snack. Get the recipe after the jump!
What You’ll Need:
8 ounces cream cheese
2 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 cup Guinness beer
2 chopped chives
1 bunch chopped parsley
Salt, pepper, and hot sauce to taste
What to Do:
Combine room temperature, softened cream cheese with shredded cheddar and Dijon mustard. If you have trouble mixing, put the cheeses in the microwave in short, 15-second increments until you can mix completely.
Add Guinness, chopped chives, and chopped parsley (to taste). Sprinkle in a dash of salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
Serve with Irish brown bread crackers or veggies.
