So when our friends over at Earthbound Farm suggested that I can make meals beyond my basic salad, I was intrigued. Here are three recipes that are just as easy to make:…

Festive Holiday Drinks

Champagne

For a holiday party, you can't go wrong with Champagne!

Can you believe we’re already a week into December? With the holiday season already upon us, I’m sure you’ll be serving (and enjoying!) a drink or two.

When I have a party, I always have a favorite red and white wine on hand, a bottle of bubbly, and one signature cocktail and mocktail. I also love to have apple cider and eggnog on hand because the taste and smell just evokes memories of the holiday.

For cocktails, I loved these ones developed by Tom Smith of Union Square Wines: The Gingered Apple and The Kentucky Toddy. They were perfect for Thanksgiving and are still wonderful now in the colder months.

Here are a few more beverages that are sure to make you the toast of the party!…

Vegetarian Thanksgiving Ideas, Recipes and Tips

Veg Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is filled with vegetarian dishes - like our Cranberry and Herb stuffing.

When you come to think about it, outside of the turkey, Thanksgiving can be very vegetarian-friendly.

From appetizers to soups to (my favorite) the sides, there’s plenty for your vegetarian guests to enjoy.

When I get together with my friends and family for Thanksgiving, I also make sure that there’s a vegetarian main option. Instead of turkey, you can go the Tofurky route. I tend to make a vegetarian lasagna because it’s hearty and filled with seasonal vegetables. Two recipes I enjoy are this Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash lasagna recipe and this Artichoke and Eggplant lasagna recipe.

5 Easy Fall Recipes

Roasted Potatoes

Rosemary Garlic Roasted Potatoes are one of my go-to, easy-to-make Autumn dishes.

I love Autumn. The leaves turn from green to brilliant shades of yellow, red and orange. The weather is cooler. And I can happily turn on the oven to make hearty dishes my family will enjoy.

From rich squashes to crisp apples and savory sausages, Fall’s bounty fills my home with warm, welcoming scents.

Usually I like to keep dinner dishes simple and just roast chicken along with root vegetables (like potatoes, butternut squashes, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc.) in the oven. It’s so easy to toss the chopped vegetables with extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, and a few herbs (rosemary, Herbes de Provence, and oregano are some of my favorites) and then roast them in the oven….
